What is Kratom?

Kratom, or Mitragyna Speciosa, is a tree native to Southeast Asia. The leaves of the tree are what is harvested to produce what is more commonly known as Kratom. Primarily grown and harvested in Indonesia, it can also be found in Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Papua New Guinea. The earliest documented use of Mitragyna Speciosa as a medicine is in the early 19th century. Since then, the use of Kratom has exploded globally due to its reported effects on pain, anxiety, uplifting one's mood and more recently, to aid in the opiate epidemics.

The opiate epidemic has effected many lives across Rochester and beyond. Many struggle to find a solution for when it comes to dealing with the negative side effects of opiate withdrawal. Kratom has proven to be a miracle substance in this aspect. When taking Kratom capsules or Kratom powder, the side effects of opiate withdrawal dissipates for 4 - 6 hours, and that can be followed with another dose.

Kratom powder is absorbed faster into the body and the effects can be felt after five minutes. The capsules are OO sized and made of gelatin - and they hold about 0.55-0.60 grams of Kratom. The capsules take 30 - 45 minutes for their effects to be felt.

If you or a loved one needs help with opiate withdrawal, please tell them about the healing properties of Kratom. Many in Rochester do not know of Kratom, and it us up to each one of us to spread the word.
